The government have now published guidance on eligibility for the Local Restriction Support Grant (Closed) LRSG-C. This grant is for businesses who were required to close due to national restrictions between 5 November and 2 December 2020.
You may be eligible for the grant if:
- You are based in England
- You occupy property and you pay the business rates
- You have been required to close from 5 Nov – 2 Dec 2020
- You have been unable to provide your usual in person service
This includes non-essential retail, leisure, personal care, sports facilities and hospitality businesses. You will still be eligible for this grant if you offer a takeaway only service instead of your usual service for the period.
Ineligible businesses include:
- Businesses who have chosen to close but were not required to
- You continue to operate as you do not depend on in person services (solicitors and accountants etc)
- You have exceed your state aid limit
Currently there is no application process posted on Carlisle City Council website. We will keep checking and let you know as soon as the application process is published.
